On October 20, 2025, the Belgian BioElectroMagnetics Group (BBEMG) organized a seminar titled “Low-frequency electromagnetic fields and health, results of 4 years of research by BBEMG” in Belgium. The seminar presented the most important results from the past four years of BBEMG research and the plans for future projects.
Once again, I have found some scientific articles of interest for this new bulletin. The bulletin starts with an article examining magnetophosphenes. Quite a lot of new knowledge has been gained about this topic in the last few years, or rather, within the last ten years. Only one study on the topic was published earlier. Today, the research focuses more precisely on the origin of the phenomenon.
For the second article, I found a study based on Finnish data. The research group had earlier compiled a database on buildings with indoor transformer stations in Finland. Recently, they investigated the potential association of Alzheimer’s disease with exposure to residential ELF-MFs from indoor transformer stations.
